The U.S. experience of limited success in cricket is a reflection of a number of factors. One of the main factors is the fact that the game is the British colonial heritage and never fully becomes the American sport’s affair. Additionally, speed and scoring options being faster and more frequent are the two main factors that make cricket appear not as exciting as it is. Among the vital factors is definitely the lack of a stable domestic cricket setup, where one can find grassroots actions down to organized leagues. In this case, cricket cannot flourish and gain support. America currently has three traditionally popular sports: baseball, basketball, and football. Unfortunately, cricket has been unable to find a thriving niche in this landscape.
