The Sindh government is considering the implementation of a Dolphin Force, similar to the one in Punjab, to combat the surge in street crime incidents in Karachi. Led by Sindh Interior Minister Zia Linjar, significant decisions were made during a recent meeting to address the escalating crime rates. This initiative aims to establish peace and ensure the safety of citizens by deploying a specialized force equipped with motorcycles, vehicles, pistols, and anti-riot kits. The force, comprising 1800 motorcycles and 1100 vehicles, is proposed to actively engage with communities and enhance policing efforts. Additionally, law enforcement officials are urged to adopt proactive measures and coordinate closely to tackle crime incidents. The proposed Dolphin Force signifies a comprehensive approach to combat street crime in Karachi through coordinated policing efforts and proactive measures.
